Events and Fundraisers of
Clubs in the Alabama District

The information provided here is to encourage support and attendance for the special events and fund raisers of all Kiwanis Clubs in the Alabama District.  Clubs that have similar events may also learn from attending other clubs events and sharing experiences.  Go…have fun…support the work of all Kiwanis clubs!

Friday & Saturday, May 9-10, 2008:  Buck Creek Festival

This annual event will take place from 6:00 pm on Friday until 10:00 pm on Saturday in the Old Town section of Helena, Alabama.  A festival of music, vendors, food, fun for kids and a 2,000 rubber duckie race on Saturday highlight the weekend.  Kiwanis sponsors the kids play area and benefits from the event.

Thursday, September 11, 2008:  Rocket City Classic Golf Tournament

Sponsored by the Huntsville West Kiwanis club, this annual event will benefit RIF and the club’s other charitable work.  It will be held at the Robert Trent Jones Trail course in Hampton Cove AL.  Contact Ray Tomlinson at 256-536-4196 for full details.
